In 2003, Dr. Dara N. Byrne worked with the editors of Black Issues In Higher Education and Dr. James Anderson to develop The Unfinished Agenda of Brown vs. Board of Education (John Wiley & Sons). This book will be released on May 17, 2004 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision that declared separate school facilities inherently unequal. The Unfinished Agenda features a wonderful collection of original essays and narratives which reflects on how far we’ve come since 1954—and how far we still need to go.
The Unfinished Agenda is volume one in a three volume series entitled Landmarks in Civil Rights History.
This is but one example of the exciting work that we do here at DB*C*
